This workshop explores how IB educators can foster student agency within an evolving digital landscape shaped by artificial intelligence. It highlights the importance of nurturing learners who are independent, reflective, and responsible digital citizens.
Participants will engage with practical strategies for integrating AI tools to strengthen student voice, choice, and ownership in inquiry-based learning environments. Examples include the use of AI-supported research assistants, adaptive learning platforms, and digital reflection tools that personalise learning, support goal setting, and enhance self-assessment.
The session also examines essential ethical considerations, such as data privacy, digital citizenship, and students’ understanding of AI’s broader impact on global contexts. Through collaborative tasks, participants will design AI-enhanced learning experiences and reflect on how these tools can empower students to think critically, make informed decisions, and engage with real-world issues.
By the end of the workshop, educators will leave with practical tools, strategies, and deeper insights to guide students in navigating their learning journey confidently and responsibly in an AI-driven world.
