In this interactive session, we will explore Depth of Knowledge (DOK) and its role in promoting critical thinking and deeper learning. Based on Norman Webb’s DOK framework, we will examine the four levels of cognitive complexity, from recall and reproduction to extended strategic thinking.
Participants will gain insights into how DOK enhances lesson planning, assessment design, and student engagement. Through real-world examples and practical strategies, educators will learn how to apply DOK to foster higher-order thinking skills, ensuring students move beyond memorization to meaningful understanding and application of knowledge.
