Summary:
From Instructing to Coaching is an interactive professional learning workshop designed to support teachers in response to the emergence of generative AI and aligning classroom practice with UAE national priorities for future-ready learners.
As AI changes access to information and content creation, the workshop reframes the teacher’s role from primary instructor to facilitator of thinking, mentor of learning behaviours, and coach of student agency. Rather than focusing on tools, the session strengthens pedagogy by developing students’ critical thinking, ethical judgment, independence, and responsibility for learning, key skill sets identified by the UAE Ministry of Education.
