This session is tailored for new, aspiring, or middle leaders across all subject areas who are eager to make a meaningful impact in their departments or teams. Drawing on extensive leadership experience in diverse school settings, I will share practical strategies for leading with vision, fostering trust, and managing difficult situations effectively.
We will explore key leadership qualities, including resilience, empathy, and clear communication, while also discussing how to lead with a strong vision and navigate challenges in team dynamics. Attendees will learn how to implement purposeful initiatives, run impactful professional development, and use tools like learning walks, moderation, and reflective practices to drive improvement. Additionally, we will explore how whole-school projects, such as themed weeks and student voice activities, can energize teams and create a sense of unity and purpose.
Participants will leave with adaptable leadership strategies and the confidence to implement them in their own school contexts, regardless of subject area or curriculum model.
