On the macro level – student voice extends beyond the classroom to influence broader school policies, curriculum development, and even community involvement. Here, students may have opportunities to participate in school governance, contribute to decision-making processes, or engage in advocacy for systemic change. This level emphasises the importance of empowering students to influence their educational environment on a larger scale, ensuring that their perspectives help shape the direction of the school or educational system as a whole. Participants will gain insight into the practical implementation of both micro and macro student voice approaches. By the end of the session, educators will have a deeper understanding of how to effectively integrate student input at all levels, ultimately enhancing educational experiences and promoting student agency.
